PCVs in Philippines are safe from flooding – no official word from Peace Corps about Samoa
Yesterday, Peace Corps issued an official news release regarding the safety of Peace Corps Volunteers in the Philippines during recent flooding. Currently, all PCVs serving in the Philippines are safe. Peace Corps Director, Aaron S. Williams, issued the following statement.
“On behalf of the Peace Corps and the more than 7,500 volunteers serving around the world, I send my condolences to the people of the Philippines. We are deeply saddened by the loss of life and the destruction caused by Tropical Storm Ketsana.”
There has been no official word from Peace Corps regarding volunteers in Samoa.
