Emily Johnson served in Guyana on the Essequibo Coast as a Community Health Education Promoter from 2011-2013. She has since been back to Guyana to watch her host sister get married and stays in close contact with her loving Guyanese family. She is now working on the White Mountain Apache Reservation in Arizona as Labor and Delivery Nurse. She has volunteered on the FROG Board since returning from Guyana in 2013. During her Peace Corps service, FROG helped make the dream of Camp GLOW a reality by supporting the project through the FROG grant program and fiscal sponsorship. Camp GLOW is now an annual women’s empowerment camp that has impacted hundreds of young women in Guyana thanks in part to the work of FROG.
